Roberto Bacchini composerRoberto Bacchini graduated with highest honors from the Pontificio Istituto Ambrosiano di Musica Sacra in Milan, majoring in Gregorian chant. There he also studied organ with Franco Castelli and Emanuele Vianelli. In June 2014, he graduated from Cremona University, with a grade of 99 out of a possible 100.  There his major was middle- and high-school music education.  A composer of vocal, instrumental, and choral music, Bacchini has published several volumes of sacred music for the Rugginenti, Sonitus and Armelin Edizioni publishing houses.  He is the founding director of the Orchestra Poseidon of Varese, with whom he has given numerous concerts, collaborating with such internationally famous performers as bassist Giuseppe Ettorre (principal bass, La Scala orchestra, Milan), violinist Guido Rimonda, bassist Piermario Murelli (principal bass of the Teatro Regio orchestra, Parma), soprani Barbara Frittoli and Alessandra Molinari (both from La Scala), and oboist Carlo Romano (principal oboe, RAI orchestra, Torino).  Bacchini is titular organist of the Mascioni organ (Op. 682) of St. Provino’s Collegiate Church in Agno (Switzerland).  Since 2006 he has taught music education at the Scuola Media Statale in Varese and taught orchestra at the Civico Liceo Musicale, also in Varese. For Casa Editrice Nuovi Autori he published a book of poetry entitled,“Riflessi”. In 2010 he participated in the masterclass“Formazione, gestione e organizzazione delle scuole di musica” given by Dr. Marco Aceti, organized by the Town of Varese.
